Established FEATU office with staff in Arusha, Tanzania, providing a central hub for regional coordination and administration.
Established cooperation with development partners, International Labour Unions and NGO's on Labour & Education Matters.
Increased membership from four to seven and encouraged other teachers union from new EAC member countries to apply for membership in FEATU.
Developed comprehensive FEATU website to enhance communication and information sharing across member unions.
Compliance with FEATU Constitution on meetings and other matters, ensuring proper governance and transparency.
Several capacity building workshops with support from Danish Development Partners to strengthen member unions.
Conducted and disseminated the results of desk study on the Effectiveness of the competence based curriculum (CBC) adoption and implementation in primary and secondary schools in East African Community Countries.
Conducted capacity building workshops for member unions on Comparative Labour Laws, Lobbing and advocacy skills, Education policy and budget analysis skills, and Membership recruitment and retention.
Mobilized unions within the federation and other sister unions to express solidarity messages for members affected by political and leadership crisis.
Mobilized emergency funds for support to members of member unions affected by political leadership crises requiring legal support during challenging times.
Wrote protest messages against violation of labor rights contrary to the ILO conventions on the right for freedom of association and protection of the right to organize.
Encouraged new teachers' unions in East African Community member states to apply for membership in FEATU.
